Time to Pass Go
Time to stop going around the board game of life, mindlessly spending willy-nilly where you’re dependent on payday to make ends meet. Time to pull yourself up and become an adult about money. Time to take control so that you’re managing it, not it managing you. Time to Pass Go.
I realized I needed to Pass Go when I was in my early 20s. I was between jobs and didn’t have the money for my car payment. But I had a credit card. Yep, I charged it. I decided after paying off the bill that I would never let that happen again.
That charged car payment led me to the library to learn about how to be in control of money. I found I enjoyed the topic and spent the next 20+ years in the financial services industry, writing about credit card debt, investing, retirement – things that affect people every day.
The hope is that some of what I’ve learned over the years can help you understand a little more about personal finance and provide the confidence to take charge of your money. If you haven’t already, it’s Time to Pass Go. Thanks for reading!
